[D4 LA Encounter] Big Bear on Campus

[Amaterasu]

The previous night, mountain lions invaded the streets.Now a black bears are in the school fields, terrorizing the school. The game had ended, and people were heading home. They were shock and terrorized by this view. People were screaming and running around. Others were shocked and frozen. The bear was ready to maw one visitor.

Who could come and rescue them?

Simon was preparing to head home after the game and prepare for the big night, but the frantic sound of screaming pulls his attention.

Ducking behind the corner of a building, Simon pulls a disc out of his bag and becomes Eagle.



Thrilled to come out on school grounds, Eagles is too distracted by the novelty of the situation to make haste to the problem at hand.

Eagle is not alone in responding, the Uncompahgre Exile emerging from a scrawny little twig of a boy upon hearing the bear up in a lather.

He's also not alone in being a bit...deliberate in his progress, despite the danger.

"What's got these critters comin' in like this?"

It was much brighter and much more open than Jack would like. But, the Dreamer had summoned him. He rushed forward from the shadows of a tree with a guitar leaning against its trunk.

There wasn't time to do anything fancy or any of Jack's usual tricks. He dashed forward, trying to get between the bear and its intended victim. He couldn't protect the bystander fully, but he could toss a handful of colored dust into the bear's face.

The Bear was about to attack when Coyote tossed the dust in the Bear's face. It breathed in the powder and stopped his attack. The Bear grunted and sneezed.

The Exile, being trained to move, does so, seeking to sweep in and extricate the bear's intended victim from peril, whether from teeth or poison.

He is damned quick about it, too.

Eagle swooped in to take on the ferocious bear, crying out, "The eagle has landed!" And then the bear sneezed. If it wasn't such a large, imposing bear, it would've been kind of cute. He already felt bad for beating up on the big cat last night, he didn't want to beat up on Yogi here. Unfortunately, there were still people around and a bear on campus was a threat.

Without a pic-a-nic basket to lure him away, Eagle pulls out a disc, mid-range rather than a driver, and takes aim, hoping to knock out the bear.

As disc hit the Dazed bear and it fell to the ground. It was trying to get rid of the dust in his nose and the momentum knock it down.

[Amaterasu]

Coyote's bop made the bear close it eyes. The bear is now unconscious and incapacitated. People watched in awe as the bear was defeated by these heroes.

"Alright." Jack put his staff away. "Now, we need to figure out what to do with you. I don't suppose anyone has a bear cage handy?"

[Elijah Cooper]

"You alright?" says the Exile to the saved victim.

Who is it, by the way?

[Simon Lizotte]

Eagle retrieved his mid-range, no disc left behind, and walked over to the animal. He resisted the very strong urge to 'poke the bear'. "No bear cages here my man... this thing is a trip."

He turns to Coyote and shoots him somes finger guns. "Nice job bro."

"Well, we have to do something. It will wake up eventually."

[Amaterasu]

It was a child about 7 years old who had teased the bear. "Thaank you mister.. I I I am good..." He was now in awe.

[Elijah Cooper]

"You git on home now, son," says the Exile, gruffly. "And dontchu poke no more bears!"

[Amaterasu]

"Yes, sir!" The boy ran to his mom. "Thank you strangers." the mom replied as shenstart nagging atvthe boy.

The bear is still unconscious. Sirens could be heard at a distance.
