Jono stepped out to begin a guitar intro for something fast and fun, a song that could get everyone excited for the rally.

But, a string broke. That was bad luck. A second string breaking immediately after the first, felt like someone had cursed him. The guitarist faltered. There was no way to fix this in the middle of the pep rally. He couldn't start the song.

Setting his guitar aside, he did the only thing he could. Jono began to sing a different song. It wasn't the rock anthem he had intended. But, it was something that would promote unity. It wouldn't make anyone forget about the guitar, but he put his heart into it.

Simon didn't exactly exude school spirit, but he did take any chance he could to 'grow the sport' when it came to disc golf. Angling to try and start a disc golf club, he agreed to do a few trick shots for the pep rally.

He would've preferred throwing out on the football field, long range shots were where he really liked to show what the discs could, but he'd been working on his short game. Setting up at one end of the gym, Simon threw at the opposite basket, aiming to hit the backboard, and managing to actually sink one into the basket. The cheers from the bleachers was satisfying... maybe there was something to this school spirit thing.

Like Jono, Mariana was performing with her violin and her bow was too tight and it fritz.

Coop is about to blow a mighty blast, but he drops his horn.

He scoops it up and scoots off to the bandhall to see if repairs need making.
