D2EA, Music, Yes! (Open)

[Elijah Cooper]

Coop is early to the bandhall. He sets up his trumpet and his mutes, his little stand, gets out his pencil and his music, and begins running scales until the band director comes in.

[Amaterasu]

Steven came into the class room. "Do you ever leave this room, Coop?" He chuckled.

[Elijah Cooper]

The horn comes off Coop's face and, with a grin, he replies "Sometimes. I mean, gotta go to the john every now and again, right?"

[Mariana Spade]

Mariana made her way to class. She had her violin case with her and sighed. At least her locker did open at lunch.

[Amaterasu]

"I suppose... I used to have a bucket. when my recordings took so long." The man chuckled.

[Elijah Cooper]

"I don't think you want us doing that in here, sir," Coop replies. "Especially not with the cafeteria doing what it does.

"But I was wondering if there'd been any information on band camps come in. Or on DCI."

[Mariana Spade]

"I am going to Mexico this summer to work in my cousin's mariachi band. So, no music camp for me." Mariana sighed.

[Amaterasu]

"A Mariachi band seems like fun." Steven said with a smile.

[Elijah Cooper]

"Paying gigs are good," Coop puts in. "But if DCI has spots open...wow."

[Mariana Spade]

"weeee" She said very unenthusiasticaly. "My aunt is really annoying"

[Elijah Cooper]

"I know about annoying relatives," Coop says. "Have you met my sister?"

[Astrid Hansen]

Astrid made her way quietly into the music room. She wasn't much of a musician but she wasn't one to skip classes. Unlike other times, she found herself somewhere to sit at the back so she didn't disrupt the musicians currently talking and performing.

[Amaterasu]

"You probably get in Coop." He noted the new arrival. "Welcome..." He turned to Mariana. "Give them a chance." Then back to Astrid. "I am your teacher, Steven Wilson, at your service. Do you play any instrument?"

[Astrid Hansen]

There was a shake of the head.

"It was not something I had a chance to try."

[Amaterasu]

He analyzed the girl. Mr Wilson placed a hand on his chin. " Hmmmmm..." He continued to analyze the girl. Steven moved to his desk and opened a drawer. The teacher took out a Glockenspiel. Those looking at the drawer could notice an interesting glow. "Try this... It may look like a child's toy but good music can be made."

[Astrid Hansen]

There was a long look at the toy, before she accepted it.

"I assume each bar is made slightly different to create a different sound?" She tapped a few different ones as if to test the theory

[Jonothan Wiles]

Jonothan walked in after retrieving his guitar from the storage room.

[Elijah Cooper]

"Sir," Coop says, "what's got the light on in the drawer, there? Did one of the drummers leave a flashlight?"

[Amaterasu]

"What light?" Mr Wilson was puzzled, but he remembered something. "Oh gang... we may have a nice gig
I asked the school principal to let us play at the mall and get some funds for the school."

[Elijah Cooper]

"Something's shining in the drawer, there," Coop says, and he puts his horn on its stand and goes over to look at it.
