[D1, EM] Breakfast of Champs

[Simon Lizotte]

Simon struggled to get to his locker, lugging his new Jansport backpack, his laptop bag, his discgolf bag, his gym bag, and a toaster strudel (blueberry flavored of course). He dropped the discgolf and gym bags and gently set down his laptop on top and held the pastry in his mouth to free his hands so he could work the combination of his locker.

[Elijah Cooper]

"Hey, Simon!"

A nearby locker opens and accepts a trumpet case before slamming shut.

"How's it going?"

[Simon Lizotte]

"Oop, wudup." He responds with his mouth stuffed. He shoves his bags into the locker and bites off the roster strudel. "Sorry, what's up Coop. Excited for school to start back up?"

[Elijah Cooper]

"It'll be good to get back to band practice," Coop says. "Always better playing with a group than alone.

"And you?"

[Simon Lizotte]

"Yeah, Spring Break was fun, but it gets boring pretty quickly. Might be different if we were in a big city like Grand Junction or even Durango, but nothing ever happens in Clearvale. I almost got bored of playing the same course two or three times a day."

[Elijah Cooper]

Coop nods.

"Part of why I'm gonna get out of here after high school. Julliard calls!"

[Simon Lizotte]

"You can have the East Coast, I'm sticking to the West Coast. It's Silicon Valley for me." Simon pats his laptop bag to emphasize his point.

[Elijah Cooper]

"I'm sure I'll tour there someday. But I've gotta get through first."

[Simon Lizotte]

"Well, I'll hire your for the grand opening ball when I start my own company. It will be the great unveiling of Orange, you can't compare us to Apple... Maybe a bit too on the nose. I'll find someone for the marketing once I get there."

[Elijah Cooper]

"Nah, Simon, don't go for fruit. Go for something that's got a little more movement or dynamics."

[Simon Lizotte]

Simon thought about it for a moment while collecting his books and stuff for class. Slamming his locker shut he speaks up, "I'm drawing a blank, but that's why those marketing guys get paid the big bucks. Hey, are we still on for some discgolf tonight? After practice?"

[Elijah Cooper]

"I'm good for it, yeah," Coop says. "I mean, I don't think Sarah's come up with some stupid thing or another. It isn't Wednesday. And I don't think I've got a ball game to play at, either."
